Solitaire Engagement Rings: One Large Stone or Four Smaller Ones?

Solitaire engagement rings are some of the most stunning pieces of jewelry ever made. There is something about a single stone on a plain band that exudes elegance and opulence. When it comes to white diamonds being the single center stone, people could easily spend twenty thousand dollars for just a couple of carats of a good quality stone. There are not too many everyday people who would be willing to sell their cars for rings! Of course, there is the alternative of the cubic zirconia. This is a man-made stone that looks just like a real diamond, but does not cost nearly as much. If you can live with the fact that your solitaire engagement ring has a fake stone in it, then this is a great alternative. However, some women are not keen on this idea and only want the real thing.

Solitaire Engagement Rings

There has been a recent trend in engagement rings in putting four small princess cut diamonds together to give the appearance of having one large stone in the center. Only upon further inspection can you see there are four smaller stones instead of one large one. Once again, it is all a matter of preference and budget.
